Herd your coding agents.
Shepherd is a native Mac app that runs a whole flock of coding agents side by side, each in its own worktree, on your Mac or the machines you own. Round them up when they need you, review what they changed, and ship.
Version 0.1.0
It asks. You answer.
When a choice is yours, the agent stops and asks, with options and the one it would pick. Everything waiting on you collects in Needs you, so no thread sits idle.
- Answer with a click or a number key
- Steer or queue messages while it works
- Subagents report back in a tray above the composer
Review it like a teammate would.
Split or unified diffs against any branch, with word-level changes and comments on the exact line. Send them back to the agent, then commit or open a pull request without leaving the thread.
- Compare the last turn, the branch, or a PR
- Comments go back to the agent together
- Undo a turn’s edits in one click
It can see what it built.
Agents open your app in a browser beside the thread, click through it, read the console and fix what they find. Artifacts and files open in the same pane.
- A real browser, not a screenshot
- Point at an element to tell the agent about it
- Console and network in view
Any machine you own.
Run threads on this Mac, a build box or a server in the closet. A small daemon on each host does the work, and Shepherd keeps skills, instructions and MCP servers the same everywhere.
- Worktrees live on the host that runs them
- Offline hosts catch up when they’re back
- Every thread says where it runs
Design it, then hand it over.
Describe a screen and a design agent draws a few directions on a canvas, in your design system. Comment on an element, tweak it, then send it to a coding thread when it’s right.
- Checked against your design system as it draws
- Comments pinned to the exact element
- Implement a board or one element in a thread
